For vendors: be on the record, not above it.

aiforlawyers is where lawyers go to see what other lawyers say about AI tools, by task, with the sample size next to every number. If you build a legal AI tool, you can claim your page, put your changelog and official prices on it, and answer lawyers in the open. You cannot buy a better number. That is the reason a lawyer reads the page, and the reason it is worth being on.

State today (Oct 26, 2026): nothing here is on sale. No payment is taken and no price is active. The tiers below are a proposal we are showing so vendors can react. The only thing that works today is the free route: tell us about a factual error on your page and it goes on Corrections.

Our rule: independence

Written before the first sale, and the same on Method.

  • Nobody pays for a rating. Net, bands, ranks, confidence labels and model figures are computed from public voices by one method, the same for every tool. No plan changes a number.
  • Nobody pays for an order. Tables and the arena are ordered by the floor of the 90% band. A sponsor never appears inside a table, a ranking or a comparison.
  • Nobody pays to hide a voice. We do not remove, soften or move a voice because a vendor asks. A voice leaves only through the author’s request or a factual correction, and each is logged with its date on Corrections, whoever asked.
  • Sponsored means labelled. Anything paid carries the word “Sponsored”, sits apart from the record, and says who paid. The label cannot be bought off.
  • Vendors can answer. A verified vendor can reply under a quote. The reply is labelled as the vendor’s and never replaces the quote.
  • Same record for buyers of reports. A market report is built from the public record and sold to anyone. A buyer cannot choose a different cut or ask for a different result.

What a vendor can do

Five proposed offers. Prices are marked PROPOSAL: not active, not final, not tested with any vendor.

PROPOSAL · not on sale

Claimed profile

USD 0 free

  • Verify the vendor owns the tool's page (a mail from the vendor's own domain)
  • Add the official changelog and the official public price list, each with its source link
  • Answer a voice: a reply shown under the quote, labelled "Reply from the vendor"
  • Ask for a correction through the existing Corrections log

Why this number: G2 and Legaltech Hub both give vendors a free profile; a free tier is the norm and it keeps every tool's page honest.

PROPOSAL · not on sale

Vendor profile+

USD 149 per month (founding rate, first 12 months) per tool

  • Everything in Claimed
  • Page-view and quote-view counts for the tool's page, monthly (aggregates only, no visitor data)
  • Product screenshots and a short demo video on the tool's page, labelled as supplied by the vendor
  • A demo-request button on the tool's page (see leads below)

Why this number: Set at about half of G2 Starter (USD 299 per month, USD 599 in year 2) because we have far less traffic. To be revisited when we have 90 days of traffic numbers.

PROPOSAL · not on sale

Market report

USD 995 one-off, per report (no public benchmark found) per report

  • A quarterly report built only from the public record on the site: voices, net with bands, complaints, models, feature requests
  • The same report is bought by anyone; a vendor cannot commission a different cut, a different ranking or the removal of any voice
  • Delivered as a PDF with the method and the dates

Why this number: No public price point found for a legal-AI market report from a directory. This number is a placeholder to test willingness to pay, not a benchmark.

PROPOSAL · not on sale

Demo leads

USD 50 per lead (placeholder; no public benchmark found) per lead

  • Only a lawyer who clicks "Request a demo" on a tool's page and ticks consent to be contacted by that vendor
  • Name, firm, role and the task they asked about; nothing else from their reading
  • Charged only for leads that pass the form checks; no lead, no charge

Why this number: Capterra's USD 2 minimum bid is per click, not per lead, so it does not price a lead. The figure is to be set after we measure real request volume and quality.

Proposed tiers. Nothing here is on sale and no price is active. Prices are anchors from public directory price points, not validated with any vendor and not tied to our traffic, which is still small.

Where the numbers come from

Public price points of similar directories, read on 2026-10-22. A benchmark is an anchor, not a conclusion: their audiences are not ours.

G2 (Starter plan)Starter is listed at USD 299 per month or USD 2,999 per year; the page footnote says year-2 pricing rises to USD 599 per month or USD 6,000 per year. Professional and Enterprise are "Contact sales" with no published price. A Free profile exists.official page2026-10-22Source
Capterra (pay-per-click)A secondary guide reports a minimum bid of USD 2.00 per click and a minimum monthly budget of USD 500, and says both come from Capterra's PPC Service Description.
